I lived in China for about 12 years on and off, until last year, so I speak decent Mandarin but am worried I’ll lose it if I don’t make an effort to practice 😆

I had a Hungarian friend who after 8 years of living in the UK couldn't remember certain Hungarian words because she just never used them anymore, which you wouldn't expect with your own native language 😄 watching shows in the language you want to retain is a good way to keep your hand in, I expect.
I started watching it tonight and before I knew it was 3 episodes in! It’s making me “homesick” for Beijing - the street scenes, the accents, the food… Thanks for recommending it!

You can easily get to China from Japan, and British passport holders can now go without a visa for I think 10 days? Anyway, if you decide to go and want any tips for visiting Beijing let me know! And Japan is a great place to visit - I’ve only been once but it was wonderful
